What Does an Assisted Living Technician Do?

Assisted Living Technicians play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to older adults residing in assisted living facilities. They assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall well-being. 

Key responsibilities may include: 

  • Personal Care: Assisting residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. 
  • Meal Service: Assisting residents with meal preparation, serving meals, and ensuring proper nutrition. 
  • Light Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and safe living environment for residents. 
  • Companionship: Providing companionship and emotional support to residents through conversation, activities, and social interaction. 
  • Safety Monitoring: Observing residents for any signs of health changes or emergencies and reporting concerns to appropriate staff.
